Welcome to the Ozone and our adventures!
Our latest adventure took us out to the Steens Range. Watch the video to come along with us for a ridiculously beautiful hike and some lovely finds.
From ancient lake beds to crazy layered basalt and ash buttes, the drive through the high desert of Oregon and the Basin and Range is always an pleasurable eyeful.
We stand at the feet of Oregon’s largest fault block mountain range that soars 9 thousand 730 feet in elevation and descends over a mile down to the Alvord Desert.
The hike will take us up a very steep canyon likely to have formed from fault action, glacier, snowmelt, and creek erosion. Along the way, we’re sure to find some cool rocks, right?!
