Cabochon creations

Our most exciting news of the winter is the addition of a ‘cab’ machine to the studio. It’s wonderful to be able to craft, ‘in house’, the perfect cabochon for the jewelry design. We have been working with new materials like Ohio Flint (the cab above), and AZRE Agates that are out of this world amazing. These will be paired with our favorites, such as Fire Opal, Oregon Sunstones, and Garnets to create mini masterpieces of art for you to wear. These very gems are in the works right now.

Geometry is a passionate pursuit when dealing with the faceting of gems and stones that are hand cut in the studio to produce desired expressions. Each piece is put together in a concert of symmetry and asymmetry, compositions that both please and challenge the eye. The unfurling spectrum of the stones’ various colors increase the drama and harmony and coalesce to create expressive art pieces that uniquely convey your style.

Every stone has a story to tell. To celebrate this, each is hand polished or carved to reveal its unique characteristics. We take wild adventures through Oregon and beyond to find these native stones. There in the wilderness, the dance begins; to learn their beauty, to insure the settings, fabricated from scratch, fully express the incredible nature of the stones.
